Eric Dunham began painting at the age of 24, with the help of a few artist friends and a fair amount of wine. Painting has served as yet another creative outlet for the very talented 38-year-old winemaker. His finished pieces tend to be a reflection of many fun- and friend-filled evenings layered onto a single canvas. Up until recently, Eric did most of his painting at his home, inspired by frangances wafting from the kitchen and the conversation of friends.

Late in 2007, Eric was given the opportunity to paint with one of Seattle's most revered artists at his studio in Ballard. Eric was introduced to methods and mediums he's never used before. Each piece in the Ballard series was first "painted" with metal pigments, which were then torched into uncommonly resilient paper, creating the golden glow that makes this series stand out. Eric was able to use this new medium to play with some of his favorite themes, cherries and the trees that give them life.

Explore and enjoy both new pieces and old. We'll continue to nurture Eric's artistic intuition, hopefully introducing new pieces often.
